Internal bi-folding doors are manufactured mainly in Poplar but can be manufactured in any species required. Unlike external joinery, internal work is not subject to the rigours of the English climate and is therefore not restricted to specific species of timber.

External bi-folding doors and frames are manufactured using traditional joinery methods and the bi-folding mechanism and locking system is high quality.

In addition, all external bi-folding doors fully comply with today’s building control requirements.  Locking systems, glazing and the construction of the product must all comply with current legislation.

To reach these standards all locking systems comply with the recent Part Q of the building regulations and all glazing is in the form of double glazed units argon filled, UV film-coated and toughened on both sides.

Bi-folding doors can open in or out and can finish flush with the internal floor level for a seamless transition from inside to out.

Internal bi-folding door screens are an ideal solution when closing an open space or through lounge/kitchen diner, but maintaining the flexibility of the larger space when needed for parties, family dinners etc.

The process of manufacturing bi-folding doors involves many separate operations culminating in the end product which when looked at in its finished state hides all the highly skilled and time-consuming work it has taken to make.
